First, a quick list updateCollapse )

I'm pulling an almost-all-nighter tonight; after the sendoff meeting last night I went and had company with bensong1, grabbed an hour's nap on his couch, and finally left for home at 2:30AM. And in half an hour I'll go to work again. Amazing, how that works.

Talked with Ben about how to encourage artistic inspiration in offspring. I'm not sure I have any conclusions as yet, other than that it'd be best to be able to *demonstrate* creative passion for them, rather than describing it. I'm not sure I'm up to the task; creation is hard enough without trying to do it in front of a highly critical audience. (Writing, for example, can be done all by myself, which would be easier.)

I haven't done a dreaming session in a long time.

The Professional dream is well laid-out, at this point, and unless you have personal experience doing funding for nonprofit and educational institutions it's not worth discussing right this minute. Therapy Practice for Aspies is a reasonable management-level summary.

The Family dream is perhaps not so well laid out. Help Gabe with his career, sure, though exactly how could use a lot of work; help Zack also, though that's more difficult. I'd really like to have, adopt, or marry in with more kids; I miss the younger ones. I still *can* throw these two around, but Gabe is over a hundred pounds and Zack is about 140, and has developed a severe case of Dignity, besides. Anybody know a family that could use a spare second husband or under-daddy?

Personal: That's a hard one. What would I want just because it's fun *for me*? That I can actually *get*? And how and where am I going to fit it in?

Social: I'm about to start running a poly munch and a poly potluck, so I'll have all the socializing with area polyfolk I can use. I need to figure out some other areas in which to socialize. Is there a kink munch in central NJ, or could I start one? Can I get involved with fandom or the SCA again?

I've tried socializing with the reform Jews, with no luck whatsoever. Perhaps I should investigate Modern Orthodox, although I'm not at all sure how. I could try socializing through martial arts, though there are only two dojos in town and I know both senseis already. (Physical amusement; between Seth the skinny Tai Chi sensei and Joel the inventor of his own hard form, they average out as two normal people. Seth is built about like Zack, and Joel is built like a section of freeway pillar that decided to get up and go for a walk. He doesn't have to defend himself; hit him and you'll hurt yourself anyway.)

Now to take all that and integrate it into no more than 20 hours a day, six days a week. And do the detail bits; Gabe has a laundry list of things he wants to train at, but how to turn that into an act or a career seems to be a bit beyond his concentration abilities right this moment. And Zack seems to like the idea of moving away from *here*, but not much of a concrete clue as to where else to go or what to do when we get there. New York City has been suggested; I should work out the idea in more detail.

And right now I think I should take a nap. Zonkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...

Good and productive day, although going on about 2hours sleep I'm pretty wobbly. Tomorrow: Finish yesterday's list. That about does it.
